TRAMIGO We received a very useful toy/safety device to test out along the way on our trip. The Tramigo T22 asset tracking device accompanied us along our journey to keep some of our close friends updated on our movements. The T22 is a neat little device about the size of a mobile phone, and contains a GPS as well as GSM transmitter/receiver. The owner can define a list of 10 other users who are allowed to interact with the device. By sending various commands to the GSM number of the T22, the individual user can get information regarding the position of the device (in this case our boat) or its current traveling speed and course. Automatic messages can be requested when a trip ends or when the vessel moves further than a defined distance from a resting point. The information provided from the T22 can be very useful in tracking moving vessel as well as keeping tabs on it while at anchor. The owner can be immediately notified by SMS if the anchor slips, or the boat boys go out for a joyride! More information on Tramigo products can be found at www.tramigo.net BROADWATER We also got a lot of help in form of good advice as well as critical spare parts for repairs along the way from Broadwater Marine. Broadwater Marine has two well-stocked, reasonably priced chandleries, one in Subic Bay and the other in Cebu. Broadwater supported us also by getting spares to us in locations other than where they have chandleries, so we felt a bit more comfortable knowing we can get spares in many cases even outside of major cities. Without their support we would no doubt still be stranded somewhere in the Visayas! www.broadwatermarine.com |
We have some friends and sponsors who help make our trip possible, so please check them out on the web and in person on your next visit! |
