COCO GROVE RESORT – SIQUIJOR

The SECOND biggest beautiful pool in this area, is probably the pool at the Coco Grove Phase 2 development on the South side of Siquijor Island a few minutes from Bohol in a fast boat…..

This is also a most excellent place to be, the original resort is quaint and clean and lovely, it’s great, BUT, phase 2 is World Class with Jacuzzi bathrooms, massage showers, a huge pool with sunken bar and smooth stonewash pathways heading off into the far distance along the beach, evidence of future plans to expand phase 2.

The beach is soft white sand and the hospitality here is overwhelming, within an hour or so, the staff knew all our names and didn’t even throw us out!!!

We weren’t planning to stay here but the wind and waves and natural relaxability of the ambiance, here, wooed us ,and seduced us into a night in some very good rooms.

Joy, a wonderful manager, gave us a tour, we chose our rooms and relaxed by visiting all four bars and 2 pools in this resort. Very few people were in evidence, but they were pretty busy at night, so there’s loads of places to hide away and be alone if you like that.

Mike Butler owns four establishments in this area of the Visayas, none more than 20 miles from Dumaguete, and EVERY one of them is recommended :- Coco Grove-Siquijor, Apo Island Resort, Coco Grande Hotel-Dumaguete and the cool Coco Amigos Mexican Bar/Restaurant on the main promenade road in Dumaguete.

His amazing ochre coloured paint finishes merge in with the environment and create harmony in all outlets and his staff are sooooo friendly and helpful, I don’t know how he does it.

His places are unbelievably good value for money as well, so don’t even hesitate or ask the price, if you find yourselves near Dumaguete, try one in town or hop on a boat for a short trip to natural beauty and most excellent comfort twinned with happy smiling ‘EFFICIENT’ faces….

We have some friends and sponsors who help make our trip possible, so please check them out on the web and in person on your next visit!
