2007 Philippines

This year’s Philippine “Most Excellent Adventure” is going to be a 2,000 mile trip from Manila through the Verde Passage and the Visayas, across to Palawan, down to Kota Kinabalu and up the other side of Palawan on the way back to Manila. The planned start of the “Adventure” is March 3rd, co-inciding with the Manila-Boracay regatta. We will be doing several weekend trips through the Visayas, and eventually take a 2 week stint to Sutera Harbor and back to Busuanga.

Since the weather isn’t 100% predictable and we will be travelling in open seas, the exact dates of each leg will be updated as the trip goes along. We would love to have guests come along to share the fun on some of our legs. If you are interested to join, please feel free to contact us under one of the e-mail links on this page.

Good news from Finland! Tramigo has just agreed to provide us with a tracking device for the boat, which works via a GPS and the GSM mobile network. That way if Mike doesn’t pick me up from the airport I can find out where he is by SMS’ing the tracking device, and it will SMS the co-ordinates of its location back to my phone. We’ll give a review of the device from www.tramigo.net is working later in the trip.

www.broadwatermarine.com will also be providing us with technical and logistical support throught the trip.
